My name is Ed Abel, and I am writing to you because we have something in common.
Like you, I was once a business owner who wasn't sure what steps I needed to take to grow my business. I worried constantly about how to make sure that each next step was the right step.

When I graduated from nursing school, I could have easily had a job in any hospital or clinic. I come from a middle class family and could have been satisfied taking care of patients, but like you probably do, I had this burning desire inside me to do more, to build something of my own.

Meet Ed
I have invested more than three decades learning how to build a successful, thriving business. At age 24 with a $5,000 loan and the energy and passion of a young entrepreneur, I was ready to take on the world. And I did, only to emerge seven years later at the top of a $36 million organization with 585 employees. Inspired by the challenges that led me to success, I went on to build other multi-million dollar businesses, yet I missed the passion I had experienced "in the trenches" of my formative years.
Determined to find a way to educate and advise others in the construction and sustainability of a vital business, I founded ABEL Business Institute. Over the course of this process, I developed The SkillPreneur Business System, a systematic approach to the construction, maintenance, and growth of a business--an approach that has become the philosophy and methodology of ABEL Business Institute.
I am also an adjunct professor of entrepreneurial studies at New York University (NYU) as well as the Director of the business division at the world class Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). At iPEC, I direct the business division that is responsible for supporting the graduate coaches in their business development process.
I live in New York City, where I am an avid participant in different Volleyball leagues as well as a student of boxing. I also have a collection of signed Napoleon Hill original writings.
